Castle Point Rifle and Pistol Club was formed in 1982 and has catered for fullbore and smallbore shooters in the Essex area ever since. The club has always advocated correct training in the safe use of firearms, and over the years has been responsible for teaching safety, marksmanship and gun handling skills to many newcomers to the sport. Firearm law has changed considerably since 1982 and although many of the previous firearms are no longer available to us, club members still actively enjoy the following disciplines.

Fullbore rifle shot from ranges of 100m to 600m with up to 1000m available

Smallbore rifle, single shot and semi Auto shot on 25m indoor ranges at 2 locations

Fullbore underlever carbines shot on 25m indoor range and 100m outdoors

Blackpowder Pistol shot on 25m indoor range

Air rifle and pistol shot on 25m indoor range
